Crunch Fitness Membership Cost: Complete 2026 Pricing Guide
Crunch Fitness prices its memberships lower than most full-service gyms, but the number on the sign outside the club — often $9.99/month — is only the starting point. What you actually pay depends on which of Crunch's three membership tiers you pick, whether you're at a standard club or an upscale Crunch Signature location, and whether you sign a 12-month commitment or go month-to-month. Rather than repeat the same rounded-off numbers other gym-pricing pages use, we pulled an actual checkout example straight from a live Crunch club listing and walk through it below — enrollment fee, sales tax, and all.
Crunch Fitness Membership Tiers at a Glance
Crunch sells three core membership tiers at most of its standard clubs. Names and exact pricing shift slightly by franchise owner and region, but the structure below holds true almost everywhere in the US.
| Tier | Monthly | Access | Classes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base | $9.99–$14.99 | Home club only | Not included | Solo lifters, no-frills |
| Peak | $22.99–$26.99 | All Crunch locations | Most included | Variety & flexibility |
| Peak Results | $29.99–$34.99 | All Crunch locations | All, incl. small-studio | Full experience |
Base is usually $9.99/mo on a 12-month commitment vs. $14.99/mo month-to-month — the commitment rate is the one that shows up in ads.

Base Membership
The entry-level tier, and the one behind Crunch's headline $9.99 price. You get full use of the cardio and strength floor — treadmills, bikes, free weights, selectorized machines, the Power Half Hour circuit — plus locker rooms with showers, at the one club where you enrolled. Group fitness classes and access to other Crunch locations aren't included. It's a fit for people who already have a routine and just need equipment, not a class schedule.
Peak
The tier most members end up choosing. Peak adds the two things that account for most of the price jump over Base: access to most group fitness classes, and the ability to work out at any of Crunch's 600-plus locations nationwide instead of just your home club. Many Peak memberships also come with a guest privilege, so you can bring someone along without paying a day-pass fee, and Peak members typically get first access to book classes online.
Peak Results
The top standard tier. Peak Results includes everything in Peak, plus advanced HIIT classes and access to Crunch's signature interval training space (branded The HIITZone at clubs that have one), along with recovery add-ons like tanning and HydroMassage® at clubs that offer them. If you're the kind of member who'd otherwise pay per class at a boutique studio, this tier can pay for itself fast — a single boutique HIIT or cycling class commonly runs $30–$40 on its own, which is close to (or more than) a full month of Peak Results.

What's Not Included in the Advertised Price
The advertised monthly rate is rarely your full cost. Budget for these on top of it:
- Annual feeMany clubs charge a yearly fee (commonly $40–$79) separate from your monthly dues, typically billed around 60 days after signup and then on your membership anniversary.
- Enrollment / processing feeOften waived during sign-up promotions, but can run anywhere from $0 up to about $75 when it's not — one real club listing we checked charged the full $75 on Base and Peak, while waiving it on Peak Results as part of a current promo.
- Add-onsPersonal training, Kid's Crunch babysitting (where offered), and premium amenities are typically priced separately from the base membership.
- Sales taxYour state and local sales tax gets added to the monthly dues and enrollment fee at checkout — it's easy to forget when comparing the sticker price against a friend's in a no-sales-tax state.
- Early termination feeApplies only if you're on a 12-month commitment and cancel before it ends.
A Real Checkout Example — What's Actually Due Today
Instead of a made-up scenario, here's what one live Crunch club listing (Silverdale, WA, checked August 2026) shows at checkout for each tier, including sales tax:
Base — enrollment fee charged in full at this club.
Peak — enrollment fee charged in full at this club.
Peak Results — enrollment fee waived under a current promotion.
Notice the enrollment fee didn't follow a simple pattern here — it was waived on the highest tier, not the lowest, because that's what the current promotion at this specific club applied to. Promotions rotate, so treat this as a real example of how the math works, not a guarantee of what your club will charge. Multiply the monthly dues by 12 and add the annual fee ($40–$79) to estimate your full first year on top of what's due today.
Why the Price Varies by Location
Crunch clubs are largely franchised, meaning individual owners set their own pricing within Crunch's general tier structure. A club in a major metro area will typically price higher across all three tiers than a club in a smaller market, and promotions (a discounted enrollment fee, a locked-in lower monthly rate for signing up in a given month) are set locally, not nationally. This is the single biggest reason two people in different cities will report different numbers for the "same" Crunch membership — both can be accurate for their own club.
It's also why the Peak and Peak Results tiers are worth pricing out even if a Base membership sounds like enough: once you're paying for access to 600-plus locations nationwide, the per-club cost of that access barely changes whether you're in a big city or a small one, even though your home club's Base rate might.

How to Get the Best Price
- 01
Ask about the current promotion.
Enrollment fees are frequently discounted or waived; this changes month to month by club.
- 02
Compare month-to-month vs. 12-month commitment.
The commitment rate is usually lower per month, but factor in the early termination fee if there's any chance you'll want to leave before the term ends.
- 03
Start at Base if you're unsure.
Since clubs allow upgrades, it's usually easier to move from Base up to Peak later than to downgrade out of a class-inclusive plan you're not using.
- 04
Call two or three nearby clubs before signing.
Because pricing is set locally, a club ten minutes further away can genuinely be a better deal.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Crunch Fitness actually $9.99 a month?+
At many clubs, yes — but only on the Base tier with a 12-month commitment. Go month-to-month instead and Base usually runs closer to $14.99. Either way, that price covers equipment at one club only, with no classes, and it's before the enrollment fee and annual fee that show up separately at checkout. Treat $9.99 as the floor, not the total.
How much is a Crunch membership per month, all in?+
Base runs roughly $9.99–$14.99/month, Peak about $22.99–$26.99, and Peak Results around $29.99–$34.99. On top of whichever tier you pick, budget for an enrollment fee (commonly waived during promotions, up to $75 when it isn't) and an annual fee that typically lands between $40 and $79.
Which Crunch plan do most people choose?+
Peak is the one most regular gym-goers land on. It adds group fitness classes and access to every standard Crunch location nationwide for a moderate step up from Base, without the smaller studio classes and recovery perks that push Peak Results higher.
Is Crunch Fitness cheaper than Planet Fitness or other budget gyms?+
Their cheapest tiers sit in a similar range. Where they diverge is what's bundled in — group classes, multi-club access, and recovery amenities differ by chain and by tier, so it's worth comparing what each membership actually unlocks, not just the sticker price.
Do prices change after a promotional period?+
They can. Some clubs lock in a promotional rate for the life of the membership; others only honor it for an introductory window. Ask your specific club directly before you sign, and get the answer in writing if you can.
How much does it cost to cancel a Crunch membership?+
On a month-to-month plan, there's usually no real penalty beyond the notice period your club requires — often 30 days. If you're on a 12-month commitment, canceling early can trigger an early termination fee, so it's worth checking your agreement before you sign, not after.
